Project Manager - Energy Services (2016 -2017)
Collaborated with the Solvay Energy Services Industrial Director to review solar projects and solar engineering bid packages from multiple national firms.
Conducted a site review of the Solvay Jasper Solar Farm before construction to ensure the site and contractors met specific company standards resulting in Solvay taking a substantial financial investment and acquiring naming rights position in the project.
Evaluated and submitted recommendations for solar equipment proposed by vendors to ensure it met specific company safety and technical standards.
Plant Manager - Biomass Energy, Quitman, MS (2014 -2016)
Led and managed a wood pellet plant with 54 employees; including direct supervision of department heads with responsibilities for operations, process engineering, maintenance, safety, human resources, financial reporting, raw material purchasing and stores purchasing.
Collaborated with the corporate engineering group to review the construction and implementation of the plant equipment. Recommended numerous changes that resulted in improved accessibility to equipment. Worked with corporate engineering and third-party Quality Assurance Group to ensure a smooth project turnover.
Advised the HR team on the selection, orientation, and training processes for new employees.
Directed plant operations from a startup into continuous operations and demonstrated month over month production improvement.

Production Manager
Directed the production of an Oriented Strand Board Plant which included supervising 60 employee’s two area superintendents, four operations supervisors, and one shipping manager; Facilitated, with Human Resources, the hiring, placement, and training of the operations department. Championed and promoted safety and environmental standards. Developed and managed a departmental budget which averaged $250,000 monthly and coordinated the plant’s production with sales and logistics.
Identified key performance indicators (KPI) to be tracked and worked with the Lean Manufacturing Manager and Controls Engineer to build automated reports.
Led and facilitated Continuous Operation Improvement meetings which included the Lean Manufacturing Manager, Quality Manager, Maintenance Manager and Area Superintendents. Utilize the KPI’s to monitor production, increase uptime, lower off-grade and improve costs efficiency.
Maximized operations, while ensuring product recipe utilization and compliance with third party (APA-Engineered Wood Association) standards.
Worked with the quality control department to develop and refine product formulations. During startup successfully produced a product that met market qualification during the first week of production.
