Perceptronics Solutions, Pittsburgh, PA : Company in the defense industry which primarily does Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract work related to decision aids in a variety of contexts.

●Worked to develop and improve suite of software tools focused on route planning for multiple manned and unmanned aerial vehicles in 3D (including time constraints) for delivery for Phase II of a Navy SBIR project. Was instrumental in adapting algorithms to achieve a dramatic increase in the speed and quality of solutions. Contributed to UI/usability improvements and developed test/ test cases which were also used as demonstration enhancements.

●Led project to enhance usability of a planning tool focused on coordination of manned and unmanned teams. Worked closely with UI/HF team to design new front end and implemented it with Java Swing. Managed project using JIRA. Was responsible for the design of the enhancement and monthly reports to the customer as well as demonstrations of the completed project. This tool enhancement is now a core technology that will be the core of a new suite of solutions.

●Architecture lead engineer for “Agent Based Particle Filter and Bayesian Inference Engine”, an electronic warfare tool to augment Raytheon’s EWPMT software developed for the army. Led initial integration efforts requiring querying databases for primary and third party supplied data. Did API design for the solution output as well as the XML parsing and translation of input data. Wrote GUIs for development/testing purposes using both Swing and JavaFX.

●Majority of software was built using Java with an agile development approach.
