HR Generalist (FT)

HR Duties

Partner with VP of Operations and HR Manager to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations, including keeping Employee Handbook up to date.

Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies.

Responsible for Employee Relations, which includes: responding to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, and any type of legal allegations; managing and tracking all employee disciplinary action, coaching, counseling, and guiding managers before executing employee disciplinary actions.

Manages the recruitment process alongside the hiring managers (drafts job advertisements, places ads, reviews applications/resumes, conducts telephone prescreen interviews, presents candidates to hiring managers, draft employment offers, conduct background and reference checks, and assists mangers throughout the recruiting and hiring process).

Facilitates and provides training related to HR subjects.

Assists payroll by participating in the timesheet collection and review and addressing any legal questions regarding payroll.

Maintains employee personnel files

Maintains, updates and distributes the employee phone list.

Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.

Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation or changes.

Assist in organizing and managing annual open enrollment communications and election process.

Maintains and distributes list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan.

Assist in conducting exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.

Manage LMS employee training systems.

Manage the employee performance software and provide feedback to HR Manager.

Recruitment

Act as second point of contact when Vice President of Human Capital Business Unit is out regarding Government contracting questions.

Responsible for completing monthly reports and other administrative duties as they apply to each project vacancy

Develop and implement overall recruiting strategy and specific recruiting strategy by division

Develop (when necessary) and update job descriptions and job postings

Source and recruit candidates by utilizing social media, posting openings in online venues and with professional organizations, college job boards and in other position-appropriate venues.

Regularly reach out to pipeline candidates to discuss current vacancies and to ascertain availability or obtain referrals.

Screen candidates’ resumes and job applications.

Maintain and build a positive candidate relationship during the selection process to develop a network of contacts to help identify qualified project candidates.

Leverage Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to identify and recruit the best candidates.

Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.

Schedules and interviews as requested by the VP.

Update PCR database (ATS) with all interactions and applicable documents.

Work in conjunction with external sourcer to follow up with candidates deemed qualified for Federal HR positions.

Maintain employee files and records within project folders.

Format resumes prior to presentation to customer.

Initiate selected candidate with security forms; and follow up with candidates as needed during security. process and up to final determination.

Organize and conduct face to face interviews for selected applicants.

Perform background and reference checks on selected candidates upon hire.

Prepares new employee files and documentations.

Conduct new hire orientation.

Sales and Marketing Team

Assist with recruiting for future and existing proposal opportunities.

Screen candidates’ resumes and job applications.

Conduct phone screen with selected applicants.

Organize and conduct face to face interviews for selected applicants.

Format resumes of selected candidate(s) that are placed under proposal.
