GOAL:

I am working towards a career as a psychiatric NP. I’m currently an ED Tech at NYP’s level one trauma unit in Queens. I was just accepted into the Mount Sinai school of nursing but prior to that I’ve been enrolled in BMCC with a focus in psychology and nursing. I’m looking to obtain an entry position in a psychiatric facility.

WORK:

New York Presbyterian Hospital Queens -2017- Present/ ED Tech

Trauma Room- I work with attending doctors and nurses to bring critical patients to a stable state.

Ambulance Triage- I screen for myocardial infarctions via EKG.

Telemetry- I monitor patients and screen for any irregular rhythms that will endanger the patients health.

TAT- I draw blood and send to the lab for a diagnosis.

I chart and document my patients vitals and carry out orders under my scope of practice.

Patient Care- I take care of patients that are very sick physically and mentally. I provide them with the care that’s needed to ensure their recovery.

I communicate and assist the nurses to provide the best care possible.

Hunter Ambulance- 2016- 2017/ EMT

Transport critically ill patients.

I operate portable ventilation systems for patients in need.

I monitor the patients cardiac rhythm to ensure a stable transport.

I provide the best care possible during the patients transport.
