Had key to open/close store. Assisted customers with choosing appropriate blind/shade for their windows. Called customers when product was in. Arranged installations. Handled customer service issues. Received orders by inputting into system and arranging them in proper bins. Follow-up with customers regarding window sizes and any discrepancies/back orders.

December 2014 – March 2015 Current Express – Courier Driver/Broker

Pick up parcels and/or envelopes from customers and deliver to appropriate destination following all confidentiality protocol and customer instructions. Handling conflicts and problems and advising dispatch of all problems.

October 2013 – November 2014 Messengers International – Courier Driver/Broker

An area was assigned to me. The daily manifest had the parcels/envelopes to be delivered. My responsibility was to verify receipt of the various parcels/envelopes, quantities, deadlines and report any discrepancies to dispatch along with a copy of the correct manifest for the day. I established a route for delivery and loaded my van accordingly. All deliveries were to be made according to the instructions given on the manifest. Throughout the day I would also receive calls for pick-up and either deliver them same day or return to the office at the end of the day. Any undeliverable were to be brought back to the office and dispatch informed.

2007-2013 First Student Bus Services - Driver

As a driver of a school bus, my duties include circle/safety check of vehicle inside/out, fuel -up and check fluid levels. Advise dispatch of any vehicle problems. Have an up-to-date CVOR completed everyday. Pick up and drop off students at secured destinations with a high level of awareness, knowledge and patience regarding the road, the students and surroundings at all times. Attended monthly safety seminars. Kept updated on any new laws regarding the bus industry and vehicle maintenance. Document any issues regarding the vehicle and students. Did charters to various destinations in between, before and after my school run.

October 2005 – January 2006 Planet X-mas Retail - Manager

As Operations Manager my responsibilities included hiring, firing, training and establishing work schedules for staff. Delegating daily assignments and responsibilities. In store setup, design, maintaining inventory and stock. All accounting and banking. Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints.

April 2001 – December 2004 Sears Canada Inc. – Interior Decorating Consultant

Arranged appointments as per leads, met and advised clients as to which product would be best. Placed orders for products, arranged delivery and installation of products as per request, prepared invoices and quotes. Accompanied installer on job to make sure quality and product control were met and final payment was made.

As Owner/Operator, I was responsible for the day-to-day activities of co-ordinating and delegating duties and responsibilities. Receiving deposits/final payments, accounts payable/receivable, credits, inventory, client service advisor, PC operations, financial comptroller, installation, assembly & removals, visual presentations and executive project planning.
