Significant Projects and Experience

Senior Estimator and PM: Within this tenure, I estimated over 100 mechanical competitive bids and secured (seven) new contracts with over $8M value. Meanwhile, I completed construction of public funding projects with a value of $6M.

Mechanical Estimator II and Negotiator: Preparing mechanical estimates and budgets for different stages of new projects. Duties include: Re-estimates/forensic reviews and the auditing of change orders from contractors. I also negotiated and finalized change orders and forwarded required documents and reports for completion of process.

Senior Estimator: As a Senior Estimator, I was reviewing documents with junior estimators and assigning estimators their roles in preparing take off and collected quotes from vendors and sub-contractors. I prepared final estimates and audited all input data for accuracy of estimates. I personally prepare all change orders and consider the training of estimators an important part of my function.

Estimator and Project Management Experience: Collected all information pertaining to the bidding process; prepared MEP Estimates for competitive bids, including: sheet metal, piping, and plumbing; I participated in bids, negotiated contracts, selected subcontractors, and issued their contracts; issued POs and other purchase contracts; oversaw the preparation of shop drawings and their final approval; prepared submittals; pulled permits; established project priorities and schedules; oversaw the safety precaution of construction sites; coordinated with superintendents and foremen at job sites; issued and tracked RFIs; requested change orders; provided on-site supervision for all trades involved, and closed out documents for projects.

Management and Administration Experience: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company’s operation managers.
