Senior Manager, Marketing and Direct Deployment – Americas IT (2005 - 2013)

Led and deployed highly visible business initiative in Direct Operations organization. Developed and expanded IT and business stakeholder relationship to ensure completion of highly visible business initiatives. Established methodology for communicating milestones and project status using dashboards for regular updates of critical project and escalations. Results: Business initiatives included over $1 billion in new revenue streams in the US, Canada and Latin America.

Created and developed new worldwide eCommerce organization. Developed new organization that deployed worldwide applications into the western hemisphere. Applications included international components into Canada and Latin America as well as emerging markets such as Brazil. Established new process and governance models for project acceptance. Developed a funding model that used cost-benefit analysis and Net Present Value (NPV) criterion for use in global eCommerce projects. Developed next-generation eCommerce strategy for HP. Developed overall strategy for HP’s next-generation eCommerce platform. The strategy included the overall development and deployment approach of the new platform as well as criteria for technology and vendor selection. Results: New worldwide strategy allowed HP to use Microsoft as the preferred technology provider and save over $2 million in annual costs as well as realize over $500 million in new revenue streams using new capabilities.

Enabled and deployed state-of-the-art next generation eCommerce platform. Architected, developed and deployed the next generation platform at HP. Collaborated with Microsoft in utilizing Microsoft state-of-the-art technology to address HP’s eCommerce storefronts and call center applications needs. Results: HP was able to realize over $10 million in cost savings by consolidating development and support activities while providing new capabilities globally.

Implemented storefront and call center eCommerce solution for Public Sector Segment. Developed and led a large team of developers and analysts to implement public and private eCommerce stores for Public Sector segment (Government, Education and Healthcare customers). Implementation also included both the electronic storefronts and telesales tools. Results: HP preserved and grew segment that represents over $2 billion in direct revenue.

Senior Manager, International eCommerce Development - Compaq Computer Corporation (2000 - 2001)

Implemented first international enabled storefront and call center eCommerce solution. Managed a team of 33 individual contributors who, in the span of 8 months, successfully developed, deployed and sustained 5 international public websites. The eCommerce solution enabled multi-lingual and multi-currency capabilities used in Canada, Europe and Asia-Pacific regions. Results: HP preserved and grew eCommerce areas by 50% in direct revenue and return on investment.

Manager, eCommerce Data Management - Compaq Computer Corporation (1999 – 2000)

Managed first consolidated eCommerce Data Management group. Managed a team of 4 distinct data management teams that included data content, configuration, data resolution and support groups. Responsibilities included managing business relationship for selecting 3rd party configuration tool as well as Compaq’s relationship with the external vendor. Results: Compaq was able to realize over $5 million in cost savings by consolidating data management groups while providing new content capabilities globally.

Manager, Supply Chain Systems - Compaq Computer Corporation (1997 – 1999)

Created, developed and implemented new worldwide supply chain system. Architected, developed and implemented new state-of-the-art custom supply chain system for Compaq Computer. Solution was deployed to 4 manufacturing sites located in the US, Brazil, Europe and Singapore. Results: Compaq custom solution enabled over $500 million in direct savings worldwide.

Created and developed new enterprise warehousing solution. Architected, developed and implemented new state-of-the-art custom enterprise warehousing solution for point-of-sale (POS) retail customer. Solution utilized leading edge Microsoft technologies to provide real-time sales and financial reporting. Results: Customer was able to identify revenue issues by individual store and take corrective actions resulting in estimated savings of over $30 million annually.

Implemented state-of-the-art marine transport system. Architected, developed and implemented cutting-edge marine transport system using wireless technology. Solution relayed positioning information concerning activities of a marine transporting corporation to determine how to optimize capacity utilization. Results: Customer was able to identify inefficiencies in transport capacity in real-time and take corrective actions to optimize utilization.

Developed, architected and implemented point-of-sale solution. Architected, developed and implemented cutting-edge wireless point-of-sale (POS) solution using client-server technology. Solution relayed customer inquiries directly to technicians wirelessly and included historical information concerning customer’s previous needs and warranty information. Results: Customer was able to decrease response times to end customers by 75% thereby improving customer satisfaction by 50% in the first year.

Using object-oriented analysis and design techniques, developed, designed and maintained innovative Oracle database and SQL forms for determining Space Shuttle software Six-Sigma quality metrics.
