Maintenance

I perform maintenance in a CNC machining facility. My responsibilities include electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair. I make machine adjustments and programming changes. Also, I purchase parts, maintain maintenance logs and generate preventative maintenance work orders.

Feb. 2008 - May 2012 Birch Brothers Charlotte, NC

Service Technician

Employed as a service technician for a machine manufacturer. Birch Brothers manufacturers winding equipment and roll compressing and wrapping machinery as well as specialized equipment. My duties include installation and start up of Birch equipment. I perform hydraulic design and installation to accompany the machinery. I perform service of the machinery and programming modifications as needed. When I am in the shop, I perform various tasks such as machining parts, electrical installation

and programming PLC’s as well as some assembly.

Special skills included writing ladder logic schematics, programming PLC’s and Electro-cams, panel fabrication and troubleshooting.

Employed as an electrical technician in a machine manufacturing facility. Roberts designed and fabricated packaging and related equipment. Duties included wiring and fabricating of electrical control systems. Some of these control systems included PLC and AML based programming. I also performed the installation and troubleshooting associated with these systems. I am associated with Indramat and various servo motion control systems. I fabricated pre-feeders, stack-turners, case packers, and special integration equipment.

I was responsible for supervising five employees and keeping them assigned to various jobs within the department. I performed quality control inspections throughout the shift to assure that the manufacturing processes were within ISO 9001 standards. My duties included maintaining preventative maintenance schedule and repair of automated assembly manufacturing equipment. The equipment, that I was primarily responsible for, included a terminal inserter, an ATS winder, a Marsilli soldering station, a Battenfeld injection-molding machine, and a Menziken inspection station.

Design and Fabricating Technician/ Technical Support Specialist

Design and Fabricating Technician - I worked with the hydraulic sales engineer to help design and fabricate hydraulic and pneumatic projects. I was responsible for the design and installation of electrical controls that accommodated units quoted. I provided quotes for all electrical controls. I produced schematics on computer software to be furnished with systems sold. I kept records for all units built. I was responsible for the repair of all actuators, valves, components, and systems that the Charlotte location handled.

Technical Support Specialist - I worked with hydraulic engineer to assist in the opening of new division. I provided assistance in the development of electrical and hydraulic mechanical systems. I supplied quotes for the building of hydraulic power systems, as well as, designed and built electrical control panels. I created hydraulic and electrical schematics with the use of CADD programs. I was responsible for all technical information accommodating all systems sold.

Maintenance Supervisor

Duties included assigning and performing work orders in an industrial maintenance department. I maintained container assembly lines, as well as, installed a new automated production line. I performed electrical duties including hard wiring, servicing programmable controllers, repairing HVAC and motor controls, and relay logic circuitry. I was responsible for the electrical and mechanical improvement of existing machinery. I worked with the purchasing manager to maintain parts department and receive maintenance parts as required.
