Dear Supervisor,
I am bilingual and a Canadian citizen. I have the editing background, initiative, and organizational skills necessary to make sure office documents are edited and sent out as efficiently as possible. In July 2018, I finished a master’s degree in English at the University of Toronto, and in the spring of 2017, I graduated with an English BA from the University of Ottawa. While I was a student of English literature at university, I honed my written and oral communication skills, and learned how to manipulate language, and use it to capture the attention of the target audience I am addressing.
I am personally committed to my own standard of excellence in prose and other kinds of rhetorical writing. My career as a graduate student has also taught me excellent organizational skills. I can easily adhere to and meet deadlines in a timely manner. I am especially meticulous about language and its use on an everyday basis. I hope I can use my proofreading, writing and communications skills and expand on them to meet your department’s objectives as efficiently as possible.
I have these and other skills that I hope will ensure that I am a positive, energetic, and committed member of your organization. To that end, I look forward to making your acquaintance.
Sincerely,
Racha Al Abdullah
