Senior Network Engineer and Field Services Manager

As a wireless engineer:

Responsible for maintaining, upgrading, troubleshooting and planning over 20 wireless networks across the Americas region

Design, order equipment, build and fine-tune network architecture for new sites of between 50 and 300 end users

Use Cisco Prime to manage the wireless environment of hundreds of 2600-series, 3602, 3702 and 3802 Cisco wireless access points

Project manager for the initiative to remove 20+ local wireless LAN controllers and to move control of the company’s wireless networks to a centralized 5520 Cisco WLC

Travel frequently to remote locations to conduct site surveys with AirMagnet and Ekahau software and recommend relocation, replacement and additions to existing wireless access point inventory based on survey results

Architect, request for proposal, purchase, configure, install, monitor and maintain complete wired and wireless networks in new sites as the company expands and constantly perform these tasks as the company refreshes network equipment in existing sites

Design the conversion of acquired networks into the company’s network including VPNs, NATing, route injection and choice of both interim and long-term WAN providers

Order, delete and maintain wide-area-network circuits from single T1s to bundled T1s to Ethernet hand-offs to Metro Ethernet solutions
