This project investigates the concepts of sustainability and their environmental feasibility. As a lot of buildings nowadays run after being sustainable all over the world for its importance to the contribution to the human welfare and nature conservation. The project starts by discussing the concepts of sustainability and the techniques applied to raise the performance of the building, then it investigates the ability of our existing building in Cairo to turn it into a sustainable building. Through a case study in Faculty of Engineering Ain Shams University in the experience of “The New Building” there and how it was designed lacking sustainable techniques. Applying the sustainable strategies will have a great effect on the performance of the building as well as the performance of the students themselves. Skills:
