Led and ensured all work groups were properly guided, in close cooperation with Engineering, in assembling and controlling the required resources such as manpower, equipment, materials and tools.
Oversaw the construction of 12,000 sq. ft. auto shop; completed within deadline despite extensive material delays, architectural design challenges and unexpected environmental concerns.
Reorganized engineering team to align with business needs and improve service to customers / developers, resulting in increased internal customer focus and cost savings.
Distribution Engineer (Engineer 3)
Prepared plans, standard specifications, cost estimates and bidding procedures for a variety of public utility construction and maintenance projects which included a regulatory mandated replacement of 286,000 feet (55 miles) of pipe / year requiring extensive collaboration with local governments to meet and even exceed targeted which included providing direct oversight of all company and contract leak survey for 6,000,000 feet of pipe / year.
Processed forms and drawings to obtain local, county, state and Corps of Engineer permits as well as monitored and assured timely completion of assignments.
Obtained quotes and bids for the purchase of materials and tools as needed for department; supervised the purchasing for engineering and facilities management related items.
