Consulting Engineer

Support large scale renewable energy projects in overseeing all phases of commercial, industrial, institutional, and mixed-use projects by building community and organizational support for client's priorities as identified by property ownership, Native American Land, Government Land, Potential Zoning, and the Electrical System

Develop a strategy/schedule (work plan) for land acquisition based on identified challenges which includes front-end risk assessment to address any concerns within set time frame.

Senior Manager of Operations and Compliance

Directed Eastern (25,000 square miles) region operations which involved managing all phases of public utility infrastructure, including conflict reviews, fleet maintenance, facilities and road maintenance.

Planning and prioritizing the region’s $4.5 billion annual maintenance and capital improvement programs including evaluating the operational challenges and preparing tenders and contracts for various activities.

Oversaw of all transmission and distribution natural gas projects in the completion of new business (commercial, tract, and residential), local government (franchise conflict review / relocation), and system improvement (modeling and 10 year long-range planning) activities totaling $30 million/annum

Led and ensured all work groups were properly guided, in close cooperation with Engineering, in assembling and controlling the required resources such as manpower, equipment, materials and tools.

Oversaw the construction of 12,000 sq. ft. auto shop; completed within deadline despite extensive material delays, architectural design challenges and unexpected environmental concerns.

Reorganized engineering team to align with business needs and improve service to customers / developers, resulting in increased internal customer focus and cost savings.

Distribution Engineer (Engineer 3)

Prepared plans, standard specifications, cost estimates and bidding procedures for a variety of public utility construction and maintenance projects which included a regulatory mandated replacement of 286,000 feet (55 miles) of pipe / year requiring extensive collaboration with local governments to meet and even exceed targeted which included providing direct oversight of all company and contract leak survey for 6,000,000 feet of pipe / year.

Processed forms and drawings to obtain local, county, state and Corps of Engineer permits as well as monitored and assured timely completion of assignments.

Obtained quotes and bids for the purchase of materials and tools as needed for department; supervised the purchasing for engineering and facilities management related items.

Generated distribution and transmission flow modeling analysis and alternatives through Synergee software to identify and target long range planning efforts.
