The project is a COTS (EPIC/RUP) driven HHS/Medical solution replacing the current legacy and client/server systems for HHS, Medicaid, RX America-Albertsons, 3rd Party Health Administrator – WELLCARE, Mobile Medical Units, Medicare Billing/Reimbursement and Financial transactions processed via the County Clerk and other ancillary support systems. Goal: SQL Server/Oracle implementation, Oracle Financials, HIPAA compliancy & projected HL7 model/messaging.

Accomplishments:

1Performed an in-depth review of all legacy RDBMS’s (SQL Server/Progress DB), Oracle 10g, Progress 4GL and MS-ACCESS RDBMS’s quantifying/qualifying all data throughout the enterprise.

2Utilization of VISIO Professional, multiple linked MS ACCESS .mdb’s, and other supporting tools (Business Objects ETL) employing RUP methodology for the project and EPIC for the data. Analysis consists of data approaching 20-25 Gig comprised of 600+ tables with a 150-200k average row count with many over 750k rows; performing in depth data scoping, data analysis, data modeling, data scrubbing, data porting of code and data tables to a leading edge HHS/Medical-HIPAA system.

DBA Team member responsible for Data Analysis, Data Verification and data management of the conversion of 270+ retail stores to a DB2/Linux backend POS system. This project replaces the IBM 4690 POS Backend with a Virtual Linux/DB2 environment within WINDOWS O/S. The system conversion centers around new product and price change data from SQL Server to the DB2/Linux environment per store.

1.Responsible for Data Verification between the SQL Server Box data and DB2/Linux environment.

2.Analyze, inspect and verify Script SQL driven data sets between SQL Server box and the Windows based Linux/DB2 virtual environment using MSA PROCS, PuTTY, SSH, SQL Database commands, DB Scripts, etc.

3.Correct any data porting and anomalies. Remotely login to DB2/Linux environments to inspect and analyze data within the environment to ensure completeness Verify all batch PROC runs to ensure completeness and correct any data problems/sync problems using a variety of tools/methods.
