I am a subject matter expert in Lean, Six Sigma, workforce engagement, Associate Managed Safety, and Total Preventive Maintenance tools. I have led initiatives in Lean systems, Plant Startup, Purchasing, R&D projects, and Supply Chain Optimization.

6/17 - Site Leader, Fenner Dunlop Americas, Lavonia, GA

Responsible for all aspects of business in supplying substrates to Fenner Dunlop Americas’ conveyor belting sites. As the sole fabric supplier, we must have robust processes for daily operations. Lavonia has established individual KPI’s by operator and completed ISO9001:2015 certification, driving improved delivery performance from 68% to 99.4% while increasing revenue by 83%, and eliminating outside fabric purchases. Gross Profit Margins have improved by 11%, and Kaizen teams have permanently eliminated loom changeovers as a business bottleneck

8/16 – 3/17 Plant Manager, International Textile Group, Greenville, SC

Led all manufacturing and support functions for the Safety Components Plant, making automotive airbag fabrics, technical industrial substrates and innovative firefighter protective fabrics. Implemented new training, quality, and safety initiatives focused on increasing productivity and improving customer delivery. This work enabled the plant to take on new customers and increase market share in multiple areas while reducing costs and growing profit margins.

Increasing role responsibilities for all manufacturing operations, facilities, and supporting functions across three plant sites. A turnaround role, with achievements including a TPM initiative beginning with Safety, 5S, Continuous Skills Development, Preventive Maintenance, and Focused Improvement Kaizen teams; an 82% reduction in reworks; a 54% reduction in off quality; a reduction of 4 weeks in customer order-to-delivery lead times, and an 18% reduction in variable conversion costs.

Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing. Also responsible for continuing manufacturing operations in 27 locations around the globe when the plant was destroyed by fire in 1995. Worked alongside Roger Milliken and 1000+ committed people to rebuild an improved Live Oak Plant in record time while satisfying all ongoing business and customer needs. This was a key development period in my professional life.
