North-West University, Mafikeng Campus, South Africa Feb–Oct 2018 Lecturer, School of Natural Sciences & Technology for Education Provided support, taught, assessed and mentored first to third year students in chemistry modules. Monitored performance of analytical instruments.

Performed experimental work independently or as a team. Mastered the use of the following analytical equipments: Bruker alpha-P FTIR spectrophotometer, 600 MHz Bruker Avance III NMR spectrometers, Autolab PGSTAT 302N obtained from Metrohm, Struers MD PianoTM 220, FEI Quanta FEG 250 ESEM and TA instruments SDT Q600 Analyzer. Mastered the use of computer Softwares such as Gaussian, SPSS, OriginPro, ChemDraw, and Nova 1.10. Participated/led project teams.

Maintained cultural and religious sensitivity in championing the principles of inclusivity in education. Employed ITC devices including simulations and interactive media to make learning fascinating and to accommodate students with diverse learning needs.

Designed and developed module guides, lecture notes, learning and teaching materials (LTMs) to meet students’ needs.

Synthesized Schiff base ligands, nano-particles, heterocyclic compounds, and macrocyclic compounds with the view to apply them as potential antimicrobial agents, corrosion inhibitors. Characterized freshly synthesized compounds using elemental analysis such as UV-Vis, MS, FT-IR, EDX, NMR, TGA and single crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Carried out corrosion studies using electrochemical, gravimetric and surface morphology methods with the view of developing environmentally benign corrosion inhibitors. Employed computational chemistry such as quantum chemical calculations and molecular dynamic simulation to explore chemical compounds.

Interpreted experimental data, wrote and published quality research papers. Wrote quality proposals for possible funding.
