KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform Process Hazard Analysis of Refinery modification using PHA techniques like HAZOP, What-if-Analysis, Layers of protection analysis .

Ensure the implementation of Pre-Start-up Safety Review (PSSR) for new facilities and equipment.

Participate in Engineering Design Review Meeting for refinery different modifications and recommend about the requirement of PHA, PSSR, and MOC.

Ensure the implementation of Management of Change (MOC) and Mechanical Integrity (MI) procedure.

Coordinate with Insurance Surveyor and Third Party Auditors for the refinery PSM audit.

Ensure the implementation of Refinery PTW system to ensure safe job execution.

Ensure the implementation of Incident Reporting and Investigation (IRI) procedure. Participate in the investigation of process safety related incidents and follow up for implementation of investigation recommendations.

Impart Training to refinery staff about PSM and HSEQ Management Systems.

Prepare, lead and perform complete process of internal and external audits in Refinery

(ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001).

Develop and maintain Refinery HSEQ Management Systems to the highest standards

(Policies, Procedures, Work Instructions)

Supervise HSE aspects of contractor sites which include evaluations, periodic site inspections and work site safety reviews.

Review the HSE plans, Risk Assessments (JSA) and Method Statements for the construction activities.

Identify areas for continual improvement in Policies, Standards and Procedures relating to refinery.

Perform tracking and monitoring of organization’s HSE KPIs and update management on the HSE performance trends.

Perform SIL Assessment of Hydrodesulphurisation Unit.

Apply LOPA on different loops of Isomerization unit .

Performed HAZOP Study of Naphtha Platforming unit .

Prepare safety manual for new hired staff.

Conduct safety audit of GIKI (Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute) & prepare report.

Coordinated and achieved third party Re-certifications for OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 Management standards for ARL as a Team Leader.

Coordinated the up-gradation of HSE Management System Software.

Team member of ARL sustainability report compilation and issuance.

Working as committee member of different HSE forums and committees like Central HSE Committee and Area Safety In charge.
