Oversee the Field Operations for the On-Site Wastewater Treatment Program (OSWTP) and the Well Program. Supervise 6 or more field inspectors, co-supervise 6-8 plan reviewers and co-supervise 6-8 office personnel. Assist engineers with plan reviews. Meet with staff and management on a daily and weekly basis, as well as meet with engineers, homeowners and contractors as needed.
Duties to include hiring, training, coaching and counseling staff. Review paperwork and data entries. Evaluate and oversee day to day schedules and activities to include personnel evaluations and award nominations. Liaison for the IT Department regarding the OSWTP. This included troubleshooting computer problems for all staff, reporting problems to the IT Department and follow up on the status of said problems. Develop the EMS database system base program design and submit for updates as needed. Create and upkeep of program documents, handouts and websites.
Other duties were to manage the OSWTP vehicle fleet, tools and equipment, including office supplies, field tools and safety equipment. Process refund requests and resolve billing issues, participate in the development and rewrite of the Aquifer Protection Permit Rule relating to the OSWT facilities. Review, develop and rewrite the Standard Operating Procedures. Provide customer service support to include homeowners, designers, architects, builders, engineers, developers, installers, contractors, manufacturers and permit runners. I also worked with other agencies on a regular basis, including Arizona City, County and State agencies as well as the professors from the University of Wisconsin, Engineering Department. 12/1995 - 02/2000
