Provide leadership to 300k sq ft storage and warehousing operations, $30MM in inventory for various security system brands, supported by four different warehouse operating systems. Responsible for the development of 8 direct reports, including HR Manager, Lean Manager Safety, Maintenance, and Operations Supervisors, as well as 120 Hourly Distribution Team Members. Dotted-line accountability to on-site customer representatives.

07/2016 – 06/2017 General Manager, Start Up Operations (York, PA) – Provided on-site project management and leadership for startup of 705k sq ft distribution operations to support $300MM annual sales to automotive retail and OE customers in Northeast Region. Responsibilities included 3PL management; service vendor selection and management; floor plan design to include 5S processes, determination of storage standards, acquisition and oversight of construction; implementation of WMS Manhattan and Swisslog; development and implementation of work instructions and quality documentation for ISO certification; implementation of Behavior Based Safelty program; oversight of customer move schedule in correlation with inbound and outbound ramp-up; inventory management of $35MM in stock. Established annual working budget and provided hand-off to 3PL.

XPO Logistics (formerly Jacobson Contract Logistics); High Point NC

03/2014 – 07/2016 General Manager, Contract Logistics Services (Carlisle, PA) – Senior Leader on-site for 3 customer distribution campus, 2 buildings each approximately 800k sq ft warehouse space; 24 hour / 7 day food distribution to retail customers (big box and local as well as e-commerce) in Northeast via rail, truckload, LTL and parcel. Full P&L responsibilities to include establishing annual forecast and budgeting, managing rolling forecast, mentoring leadership for success, and meeting performance expectations through communication of expectations, and development of can-do culture. Provided framework to insure SOPs were standardized; implemented employee scorecard to drive measurement of safety, quality and productivity at the lowest level to insure expectations of our customers, both internal and external, are met or exceeded. In first 3 months improved on-time put away 54% and on-time departure 22%. AIB Audit in July 2015 results 980/1000; May 2016 results of 985.

01/2012 – 02/2014 Regional Manager, Distribution (Carlisle, PA) – Financial and KPI responsibility for locations in Carlisle PA and McDonough GA, providing light assembly & distribution of product to all customers in Eastern USA. Direct responsibility for 900k sq ft of distribution and storage, project management for closure of Carlisle PA facility and reassignment of customers throughout the distribution network, continuous improvement based on 6 Sigma & Lean methodologies, optimization of the supply chain, safety, quality, delivery and succession planning. 2007 – 2011 Distribution Center General Manager (York, PA) – Provide leadership to York Caterpillar Parts Distribution Center, 1.2 million sq ft under roof, 450 plus UAW associates, plus 40+ salaried / management supporting 3 client businesses. Mentored 8 direct reports – operations management, facility maintenance, safety, HR, accounting & purchasing. Responsibilities include safety and engagement of workforce, achieving business plan targets ($120m), meeting quality and velocity goals, support of corporate strategies. Led on-site for 2011 UAW negotiations. During tenure, Project Green Belt Lead for implementation of Inbound Processing Center at this established facility, adding parts induction site and small parts assembly for Caterpillar North American Parts network.
