Paradigm Geophysical 2005 – July 2017

Director of Development Consulting

Manager for Global Development Consulting Group that was designed to use Paradigm products as SaaS. Delivered projects to customers using Paradigm technology. Developed special tools when Paradigm software was not available. Some projects were completed by partnering with other companies when necessary. Projects also included integration of Paradigm technology into customers’ proprietary products (e.g. Shell GeoSigns, Total Sysmage, etc.)

All projects used the Agile Development Methodology and Scrum Process. Our group was one of the first in Paradigm to implement the Agile Development Methodology.

All projects were initially 6 month to 1 year in duration for proof of concept. Almost all projects turned into long term projects with short term functional deliverables to be used in customer production environments. Projects were either stand alone or embedded into a customers’ proprietary tool or workflow for seamless user experience.

Budgeting, forecasting and Proposal creation for both Development Consulting and Service revenue projects. Responsible for planning, scoping, invoicing and delivering all development consulting projects. Work with Global sales account managers to drive global business initiatives.

Projects delivered key tools vital for global strategy for increasing market share through competitor knock outs. (e.g. OWX, ASCII4, SMT, data converters into EPOS)

Project Manage all Global Service projects for scope creation, delivery and revenue recognition

oDeveloped a Project Framework on global product implementation and adoption for customers without disruption of daily activity so that users can switch from a competitors software to Paradigm’s technology. The first implementation of this effort was successful and the customer stated “We will use this process for all future projects companywide”

oProject managed a large initiative for developing a new Stochastic Inversion software package not currently available in Paradigm in collaboration with GALP and Petrogal.

oProject Managed a Stochastic Refinement workflow simultaneously being developed internally by both R&D and Development Consulting in collaboration with Gazprom.

oProjects consisted of; Processing, Modeling, Reservoir, Interpretation, Petrophysical and Well Data Analysis.

Involved in companywide special initiatives and projects

oUpdate and integrate new time management system implemented globally. Identify new business verticals. Global Customer proposals for new and renewing key customer contracts like Chevron

Program Manager – US Sales & US Customer Support

NAM Operations Manager for the Development Consulting Department.

Operational manager for the Customer Support training facilities; program offerings, resources and staff.

Project Manager for all North American Development Consulting Projects.

Program Manager for the Services Department Customer Service Projects; ES360, Pore Pressure Prediction, Velocity Modeling, etc.

Responsible for planning, scoping, invoicing and delivering all development consulting projects.

oWork with US Region sales account managers to evolve business development strategies to address and deliver products and services which create unique and dynamic competitive advantages for customers using Paradigm products.

oMember of project team responsible for the initial financial and resource planning & deployment effort required for the largest software, training and services deployment in company history.

oTook over a Development Consulting project that was 18 months behind schedule in the first phase and was able to direct the team to close out Phase I within 4 months. The project is now in the sixth phase of development and the client is planning for a seventh Phase.

oWas requested by the VP of Business Development to help coordinate an initiative to negotiate all royalties paid by Paradigm to other companies in order to fit the company strategy for global corporate deals.

Third Party Company Development Partner’s Liaison for the Development Consulting Group.

Responsible for creation and delivery of all RFP’s within the North American Sales Organization

Sales Analyst – Premier Partner Group

Operational management responsibilities within the Premier Partner Account Business Unit which managed four strategic accounts globally (Chevron, BP, Petrobras and Shell) to help provide business continuity and processes unique to how the business unit worked within the global organization.

oFinancial planning and analysis responsibility for tracking and managing the P&L as well as assessing and developing the budget for each quarter within the fiscal year.

oDesigner and Administrator for the PPA SharePoint content management system used for all PPA members and affiliate members worldwide.

oProvide direction and support for Global Account Managers in developing strategic business plans and account strategy for all PPA accounts.

oMember of contract negotiation team for negotiation of global access deals for all Premier Partner accounts.

Helped develop global corporate access pricing model for all PPA accounts.

Technical Support Consultant

Manage all facets of the Product Licensing. Solely responsible for all license technical support worldwide. Help develop market strategy for new licensed products.

Closely work with R&D department for designing license security model for products.

oHelp define and facilitate the different product and licensing dependencies to ensure our products maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace over our competitors.

oProvide various technical services to ensure the creation, delivery, support and configuration of licenses for customers is accurate and functional.

Create, Implement and manage the customer license database. Conduct various license tests to ensure the license design can provide adequate protection to Earth Decision Sciences software packages.

Developed and implemented the global process of product licensing quality assurance. The processes I developed created improved license quality, customer satisfaction and delivery rate efficiencies increase of 80%.

Manage the Support Department Intranet and Wiki for knowledge transfer and Management Company wide. Increased role responsibilities outside of original scope of position that was requested by the Sr. VP of Sales and Operations to help aid in projects to track sales performance, discounts given by sales team and to ensure proper sales forecasting.

Designed and developed the training material and corporate training program to educate our employees on how our licenses work within our products.

Global Networking and Technical support for over 30 different sized companies and 1 charter school. The Companies range from 1 to over 5000 users in 4 different countries.

Responsibilities included; All Hardware and Software Maintenance, Network Infrastructure, Internet and Intranet access, All Servers including Exchange, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Backup, BES, Citrix, RIS, etc., User PC’s, Mainstream and Specialty Applications.
