C#/SQL Developer EDI Developer for company’s core business of COBRA. Member of the EDI Team which designed and developed processes for automation of COBRA enrollments, as well as FSA/HSA claims. I took on moving old customized Windows services to generic micro-service-based architecture customized by configuration and meta-data. I designed the initial processes for creating outbound enrollment reports, specifically EDI 834 files, but the process was genericized so that other formats were easily implemented as well.

Navigation Solutions (June 2012 – November 2014) subsidiary of Hertz.

Sr. Enterprise Services Programmer Senior Developer on the Hertz NeverLost 6 development team which used the Agile Scrum development methodology. Assisted in developing the process to export PhotoShop documents to XML and Images suitable for consumption in a C/C++ Linux environment. Also designed, coded and debugged much of the code that controlled the user interface as well as background processes for the NL6.

Ecom PPO Advisors, LLC (April 2009 – June 2012) PPO Claims & Network Processing subsidiary of iHealth Technologies.

Software Engineer Visual Studio 2010/VB.Net/.Net Framework 4.0 programmer responsible for writing and maintaining internal processes to move PPO claims to and from Vendors and PPOs as well as receiving claims to re-price and sending re-priced claims back to clients. Responsibilities and accomplishments included:

VB 6 Conversions – Upgraded two high-profile VB6 applications to VB.Net employing ADO.Net tools to make processing of claim images and eligibility files more efficient and more independent.

Implementations – Participated in team-wide projects to implement all the client and vendor processes necessary to allow new customers and vendors to begin using company PPO Network and claim processing services.

Architecture upgrades – Upgraded several existing processes to use new internally-developed architecture for processing outbound EDI files that allowed for much more efficient and timely processing. Upgraded programs ran in very small fractions of the time.

Protocol upgrades – Responsible for writing proprietary internal maps to implement the HIPAA 5010 Protocol for internally creating 837 claims to be sent out to clients and vendors. Internal process of building EDI file for transmission was streamlined and made more intuitive for future developers.

Senior Application Developer/Analyst Windows client programmer responsible to maintain, create and implement departmental needs programs. Responsibilities and accomplishments included:

Epicor Clientele CRM – Lead Programmer on UI customizations using VB.Net in Visual Studio 2005. This program replaced the Sales and Technical Assistance programs that had been created in previous years.

Source Website ( – Responsible to maintain and troubleshoot existing ASP code; also modified existing pages to create a new website ( that allows for electronic user manual look-up saving thousands in long term printing costs.

Sales – Windows client moved department from character-based menus allowing integration with Outlook, Word & Excel accentuating communication with clients. Later enhancements included imports from Avaya System Configurator, as well as many other client document outputs and reports further increasing productivity of the company as a whole.

Maintenance/Technical Assistance – Designed new Windows client for Maintenance/Technical Assistance using existing modules (maintaining consistency in business logic). New system features included a ticket system tracking status, vendor location & dispatch. Flexible reporting allowed engineers to keep track of install/system assignments and trouble-tickets. Program assisted 400% growth of overall business activity in Maintenance/Technical Assistance department.

United Dental Care (May 1997 - August 1998) Dental HMO in North Dallas

Developer/Analyst – Electronic Commerce support programming included designing Unix AWK scripts for processing eligibility roles of clients. Windows clients were also part of responsibilities as I designed and implemented across all offices an office supply ordering system (VB 5 and SQL) and a Lockbox processing system for the Finance Department (VB 5 and SQL).

Technical Specialist – Customer Support Center assisted Fidelity Investments’ Investor & Phone Center workstation problem resolution. After a Windows programming training class, I was the center for process improvement in the CSC, writing Windows utilities to be proactive in making sure that dial-up mail access was always available, and improving the daily reporting process.
