Purchased electronic parts for all IS&S flight panel products – including all hardware, wire, power boards, office supplies and equipment upgrades for in-house equipment. Found alternate equivalent parts when original parts became no longer available. Worked with suppliers, IS&S Engineering and in-house Quality Assurance and Control to ensure product acceptability.
Managed sole source contracts with leading suppliers of power boards, electronic parts and office supplies which resulted in net savings of $150,000 annually.
Expedited parts on order to improved delivery schedule when customer need dates changed. Interfaced with suppliers to track and update purchase orders with new expedited delivery dates. Co-ordinated Return Manufacturer’s Authorizations (RMAs) for defective parts or wrong parts provided by suppliers for credit to buyer.
Established and documented in IS&S system qualified suppliers list based on product certification, cost and availability. Worked with in-house Accounts Payable and Quality Division to ensure suppliers met IS&S quality standards. Prepared bid documents, selected bidders and issued purchase orders.

Expedited emergency orders on Saturdays, working closely with customers, vendors, shipping companies and warehouse locations to get parts delivered on a same or next day basis to avoid plant shutdown.
