I’m writing to express my interest in subcontracting my transcription services to your company. I type at 75 WPM and have over a years’ worth of experience in general transcription projects such as business interviews, journalism interviews, lectures and focus group discussions. I have good listening skills and can differentiate between different voices and heavy accents. I’m proficient in grammar, specializing in verbatim projects. 99% accurate on clean files and 98% accurate on difficult audio and can work around tight turnaround schedules. I enjoy the work I have had the privileged to do and am excited at the prospect of expanding my client base and experience even further with. I’m a recent graduate, looking to establish multiple streams of income for myself and my family.

RELEVANT EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

- Sept 2017 – present: Transcriptionist for Rev.com Given the opportunity to take on longer projects with a higher client profile, working on a range of projects, mainly working on business interviews along with lectures and projects pertaining to entertainment industry.

- July 2017 - Sept 2017: Transcriptionist for GoTranscript Entry level position, where I worked on small projects to improve my skill and receive constant feedback as to my performance.

REMAINING EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

- 2014 – present: Programming (C++/MATLAB)

Worked on a range of C++ and MATLAB projects particularly to do with audio software/plugin development. Using digital audio effects research, created a range of audio plugins such as delay, reverb, distortion etc.

- 2017 – present: In-House Sound Engineer/Musician and Youth Worker I have run many of the musical/technological aspects of events held at the Hub throughout this year involving set-up, pack-down, mixing and performing. I also partake in youth work at “The Space” social function every week for youths from the neighboring schools.

- 2015 – 2017: Live sound engineer for First Love Campus Church BCU. Commenced in the setting up, packing down, operation and maintenance of a professional sound system for small functions (a church service) lasting on average 6 hours, twice a week.

- 2016 – 2017: Broadcast sound production.

Recorded and manipulated sound FX and scripted vocals to produce a radio play and program, produced a mix and master for and artists cover of ‘Old Devil Moon – Jamie Cullum’ and Captured an ADR voice over work as part of my university course. EDUCATION HISTORY
