OBJECTIVES

I am looking for a position in management (General, Process, Project, Branch, Compliance, Operations), recruiting/staffing, or human resources with a company that values both its customers and employees – a company where I can use the capabilities I’ve developed through my experience, training and education.

QUALIFICATIONS

I am an experienced team builder with a resilient ability to solve problems, both with people and processes. I am dedicated to my work and able to learn and adapt quickly in new situations. Experienced and well versed in management of various disciplines with 27 years of managing teams from as small as 3 to as many as 300. Additionally, I have experience and education in Human Resources and Law Enforcement. EXPERIENCE

The Sound Organization July 2015-May 2018 Arlington, Texas General Manager. I was hired by the CEO / President to build a team of loyal, dedicated, and focused employees with limited staffing availability. Additionally, I was tasked to revamp processes, put systems in place and reduce errors. During the CEO’s absence, I was able to maintain the standards of the facility at his level or higher than his expectations. Furthermore, I recruited, interviewed and hired new employees when staffing needs grew or through attrition. Additional duties of note, I coached, disciplined, and rewarded employees and worked alongside of them to accomplish goals. Along with the CEO, I coordinated, planned, and implemented a move of the entire company including offices and warehouse utilized for 15 years to a new building in Arlington. I feel I became accomplished at all duties within the company and could fill any employee position if needed at any moment.

Cheaper Then Dirt June 2011 to June 2015 Irving, Texas Compliance Manager. Tasked with formalizing and upgrading a compliance process that would insure the legality of the shipment of some products (Firearms, ammunition, knives, VOC) to cities, counties, states as well as complying with federal regulation. Once systems and processes were corrected and in place; I and my team were to check, approve and deny every item we purchased and shipped. Additionally, I managed the firearms cage and employees to insure all firearms on site where properly inventoried, warehoused securely and complied with local and Federal ATF legal standards. I started there as a firearms phone tech and was promoted three time within 8 months of my start date to this position. US Security and Associates March 2010 to June 2011 Irving, Texas Operations Manager. I individually managed approximately 6,000 hours of weekly security services, to include hiring, training, constant and consistent customer service. Furthermore, completed all payroll for my book of business and oversaw appropriate staffing to meet customer needs and reduce non-billable overtime.

Cheyenne Mountain Security May 2009 to March 2010 Colorado Springs, CO Patrol Sergeant/Night Shift Supervisor. Armed Security Services for numerous DOD locations and 31 education facilities in District 20 schools, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Kelly Technical Corporation July 2006 to December 2008 Denver, CO I started as a contract recruiter for Kelly and was promoted to District Manager of Kelly's Rocky Mountain Region Information Technology Branches. In that position, I managed all internal and contract workers in the field. During my first year as manager, I took an unprofitable branch to second in profitability out of the eight branches in the western region. I also managed the branch’s ISO 9000/9001 certification with 100% compliance. Securitas Security Services Sept. 2002 to April 2006 Springfield, MO As the Branch Manager for Securitas’ Ozark Region, I was responsible for all of the company’s business operations in Southwest Missouri and Southeastern Kansas. I sold our services to eight major corporate customers, increasing the branch’s profit substantially. To serve the new customers I found, I hired, and trained over 100 new employees and created an employee retention plan, which reduced turnover by 170%. My branch received Securitas’ Presidential Award for achievement for two consecutive years. Wilstaff Worldwide April 2002 to September 2002 Springfield, MO Recruiter IT, general positions. All aspects of recruiting and hiring personnel. Spherion Technology July 1999 to March 2002 Denver, CO I went to work for Spherion as a recruiter, was promoted to Lead Project Manager for Hewlett Packard in December 1999 and promoted again to Colorado Account Manager for Hewlett Packard in July 2000. As a recruiter I hired over 200 employees, including 15 hard-to-find network engineers in one week. As Lead Project Manager I directly supervised 8 employees and completed work scheduled for 1.5 years in 6 months. As the Colorado Account Manager, I helped recruit an additional 250 employees. In all three positions I managed all work activities for the employees hired. Division of Youth Corrections 1995 to 1999 Denver, CO As a Youth Gang Intervention Officer. and lead case manager I supervised eight case managers and 100 pre-detention juveniles with known gang affiliation. I also managed four juvenile intake officers and recruited new employees. I mentored the juveniles to help assimilate them back into a productive lifestyle. I worked with both pre-adjudicated and post adjudicated youth of known gang affiliation. Trained agencies on gang recognition and activities.

Law Enforcement 1985 to 1995 Colorado Springs and Denver, CO As an El Paso County Sheriff’s Deputy I was a Patrol Deputy and a Field Training Officer. I worked as a Patrol Officer for the Colorado Springs Police Department. For the University of Denver Department of Public Safety, I worked as a Supervisor, and training specialist.

EDUCATION

Colorado Technical University 1998 Lakewood, CO Completed courses toward a Master’s degree in MBA/software engineering. Colorado Christian University 1996 Lakewood, CO Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management and Human Resources Graduated with a 4.00 grade point average.
