●From 2011 to 2014, wrote winning production schedules that enabled the manufacturing department to achieve all Key Performance Indicator (KPI) goals. Including record fill rates for the Denver plant.

●Lead department’s Continuous Improvement (CI) program from 2012 to 2014.

Finished Goods Inventory Analyst

Approved inventory purchases from the manufacturing department inside the plant and from outside suppliers. Authorized product returns from sales and three Distribution Centers. Created a weekly analysis of the Physical Inventory to be reviewed by the plant manager and headquarters inventory control. Provided back-up support for the Non-Produced Ordering department.

●Promoted to Production Scheduler from this position in February 2010.

●Provided support for non-produced ordering by analyzing product demand to purchase needed product from outside suppliers and other plants within the company. Result was meeting goal in the largest segment of the plant’s fill rate.

●Initiated process with the warehouse and traffic departments to allow for trailer load outs directly from production. Allowing for a reduction in warehouse days on hand and increasing labor efficiency.

●Corresponded with Traffic, Sales, and Distribution on inventory issues. Implemented procedures to reduce order adjustments from sales through better order picking accuracy. Result was a reduction in inventory loss of 23% in 2007 when compared to the prior year.

Managed staff, facilities, and resources for the 2nd shift operations; shipping, receiving, material handling, and inventory control. Inventory included $13M that was spread over three warehouses.

●Moved cycle count program to 2nd shift and allowed for an increase in inventory accuracy.

●Improved receiving department’s material handling practices by working closely with the purchasing department in implementing a slip sheet program and creating procedures for auditing department procedures. This resulted in tripling the production of the receiving department in 6 months (100 cartons/hour/person in February to 360 cartons/hours/person in August).

●Implemented Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure and improve staff production in the receiving department; this resulted in tripling of staff production. Thus, allowing company to shorten its lead times.

Inventory Control Manager

Created and supervised an inventory control department by developing job descriptions, skill testing, creating operational policies and procedures and designing a training manual.

●Identified material handling errors and created a process to determine cause and provided corrective action; thus improving customer fill rate to 98% over a 12 month period ranging from March 2003 to February 2003.

●Planned and executed a successful Physical Inventory.

●Created and implemented a daily cycle count program which eliminated the need and expense of performing annual physical inventories. Also resulted in inventory accuracy exceeding 99%.
