Land Surveying Certified By The Gov. of Ja. Survey Dept.(1967-1970) EXPERIENCE: Philcar Development Company Ltd. – Project Manager Kingston & Mandeville, Manchester, Jamaica, Caribbean (1970-2016) This is a Family owned company, incorporated in 1970. Our main Development was situated on the outskirts of the Town of Mandeville, at Grey Ground, now named Caledonia Meadows, which is a 51 Acre, 146 Lot Housing Development. My duties included Land Surveying, Laying out and Construction of Roads, Curbs, Drains, Retaining Walls, and Houses ranging in size from 1200s.ft. - 2400s.ft. During the construction of the Roads it was necessary periodically to do Dynamite Blasting due to the Topography of the land in certain areas. The Sub-division Design was done by my Father, P.C. Jackson, Commissioned Land Surveyor, the Managing Director of the Company, and approved by The Manchester Parish Council. The average size of the Lots was 1/4 acre, which were pegged out during the construction of the Roads. At a later date we applied to the Council for Approval to re-sub-divide some of these lots to 6000s.ft. in order to accommodate smaller Houses thus catering to a more lucrative socio-economic group. Our Architect designed Houses provided 5 different designs for our prospective Home Buyers. In addition to my duties mentioned above, I was also responsible for Quantities Estimates for each house together with the Purchasing of all Building Materials and the delivery and Trucking of these Materials. For the Upper Middle Class Market, we also had 11- 1/2 acre Lots which made accommodation for houses with In-Ground Swimming Pools.

My duties also included the Supervision of the Installation of 4" Water Mains by the relevant Contractors and Electricity Poles and Lines by the Electricity Authority, The Jamaica Public Service Co. Ltd. During the construction of the Houses I had to liaison with the Foremen and their Crew in order to maintain quality control and also to schedule Pay-Bills for the workers, which was done on a fortnightly basis. Other Developments done by this Company included Hampton Court, a 20 Lot (1/4 Acre) Housing Development, in the Town of Mandeville; also a small Hotel at #10 Coke Drive, Mandeville with 9 Two Bedroom, Self Contained Apartments, named "Fleur Flats Resorts" which was owned and operated by my Father. We were also responsible for constructing a 2000s.ft. Commercial Building at 1F Villa Rd in the heart of the Town. This is a 3 Floor Building with a habitable Basement having a floor to ceiling height of 11 ft. The construction was done with an existing building beside it. Constructions in the Jamaica's Capital City, Kingston & St. Andrew include a small Hospital (The Plastic Surgery Center) and a 4,500s.ft. Mansion in Beverly Hills, both owned by my late Brother, Dr. Tony Jackson. PERSONAL DATA: At present I migrated to the United States and received my Green Card in Sept. 2018.
