Responsible for leading the Business Intelligence and Analytics product architecture functions for the Integrated Banking Solution. Daily responsibilities include working with executive leadership, product managers, development organizations, client management teams and directly with our 300+ clients to deliver solutions that help our clients achieve their strategic goals. Solutions range in focus from individual on-premise client engagements to highly scalable multi-tenant offerings including full ecosystem integrations that with core processing transactional systems, user experience channels and data warehouse components.
Most recently responsible for defining the solution set for our next generation analytics offering with new action-oriented capabilities for our existing market as well as expanding our client base outside the mid-market core banking space. Promoted to manage the Business Intelligence application team and client funded engagement pipeline for the analytics department. The BI team responsibility included managing both development and operational staff. The solution was comprised of SAP BusinessObjects as the presentation tier, an Oracle Exadata as the database tier and IBM DataStage as the application tier. Managed vendor relationship with SAP. Oversaw the upgraded of BusinessObjects from 6.5 to 3.1. Worked on the plan for a 3.1 to 4.1 upgrade, which includes the introduction of dashboards and HANA. On the operations side, introduced monitoring processes to proactively manage the environment to achieve 99.95% availability. Participated in an enterprise wide security and sustainability initiative to harden operation systems and strengthen the software development life-cycle process, which resulted with the introduction of a single sign-on system integrated to an enterprise entitlement sub-system.
Managed the client funded engagement pipeline of the analytics department. Created a monthly revenue forecast and performed a profitability analysis on each engagement. Work as a liaison between the development, conversions, account management, sales and product management organizations to identify development work associated to core client conversions.

Managed the project portfolio for the Relationship Value Management (RVM) product line. Included in the portfolio was feature enhancements as well as operation remediation efforts to improve operation effectiveness of the product in anticipation of growth opportunities. Participated in developing and executing the RVM remediation plan. Scheduled strategic/funded work and defects for the RVM product line. Ensured hours spent and inventory balanced out at end of year. Collaboratively developed status reports for the product line monthly. Worked closely with product management in determining direction and product roadmap for the year. Assisted in educating various application suppliers on the functionality of the product and the role they play.

Create, update, and maintain BusinessObjects universes for reporting purposes spanning various facets of the financial sector in a hosted environment. Developed ROI reports via BusinessObjects to evaluate a client’s progress against ROI model. Worked extensively with clients to identify business requirements and translate those functional requirements into technical design. Acted as a liaison between clients and technical development. Included within the engagements was building business specific data marts for relationship management and a BASEL risk management data warehouse. The technology stack for relationship management was Oracle and Netezza for the BASEL risk management warehouse.

Revised defect tracking system via PowerBuilder to add further functionality and system checks. Converted product sales tool from an Access database to a combination of SQL statements to process data and BusinessObjects reports to mimic the legacy system, assisted in java page development for input data, and provided end user training.
Large Equipment Provider (2001-2003)
Developed presentations for management to convey project progress as well as displaying financial benefits to a client if they adopted Siebel. Researched defects identified in new development to determine root cause. Participated in training material development.
Higher Education (2003)
Created complex BusinessObjects reports to mimic existing reports from collegiate legacy system. Verified data moved into the new system’s database. Managed developers who created additional BusinessObjects reports as well as conversion activities from legacy system.
