Achieved record year in 2016 with 16.7% growth in the Rental and Leasing departments with a 17.6% improvement in margin (37.12% gross margin). Transportation experienced 21.7% growth year over year with a margin increase of a 26%.
Operations Manager
ABCO Transportation Inc. November 2014-November 2015
Responsible for all operational, customer service and maintenance tasks related to 105 company tractors/drivers and 9 owner operators.
Engineered a regional and line haul network between Florida and Ohio to improve driver productivity and increase home time.
Provided analysis that led to overweight permits in Florida and GA, increasing business opportunities, efficiencies and overall cost savings.
Improved scorecards for all customers especially in the areas of on time delivery and tender acceptance. Led to further customer committed freight, rate increases and better revenue per mile.
Shut the back door” on driver turnover through communication and new operational set up ultimately decreasing driver turnover for period 1.
Used reporting data and analysis to establish a process with maintenance that led to tractors and trailers being serviced at needed intervals. Less trailer breakdowns achieved, along with improved MPG across the fleet. Improvements made to 7 MPG per tractor across the fleet from 6.4.

Responsible for all aspects of a transportation operation that included maintenance, over 200 drivers (company and O/O), 9 supervisors, 14 dispatch coordinators and five office clerical personnel.
Grew SCTI Lakeland fleet from a “value added” warehouse based fleet to one that has consistently grown and doubled in size during my tenure.
Oversaw all operations pertaining to the inbound and outbound shipments for the Lakeland Transportation portion of SClogistics for 58 customers.
Coordinate with all on and off campus dock and warehouse operations to ensure service and profitability.
Ensure all drivers operate under DOT and FMCSA laws and regulations. Carried exceptional CSA scores that consistently rank number 1 among our customers and in the industry. Recently won First Place-Safest Fleet award from the Florida Trucking Association.
