Over 30 years of experience in HVAC repair and maintenance, including 19 years supervisory experience. I have knowledge in many different applications including chillers, boilers, both steam and hydronic. I successfully owned and operated my own business from 1985 to 2014. I have a daughter who suffers from mental illness. To advocate for her and other mentally ill persons, I served on several mental health boards. In New Jersey, I was chair of the Sussex County Mental Health Board for 6 years. I also served as member of Concerned Families of Greystone. Later on I chaired the committee. Greystone is a state psychiatric hospital. I served on a court appointed committee to monitor Greystone. I also served on a sub-committee of Concerned Families to monitor and report on programs offered to the patients at the hospital.

I achieved the following designations from BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association): RPA (Real Property Administrator), FMA (Facilities Maintenance Administrator), SMA (Systems Maintenance Administrator), and SMT (Systems Maintenance Technician) These designations were achieved home study. I was also certified to repair and maintain HVAC systems in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. I had a Low Pressure -In Charge- Boiler License.

MILITARY SERVICE 1966-1970

I served in the U S Navy and achieved the rating of Boatswains Mate 3rd Class (E4). I was an assault boat coxswain. I served in Vietnam from 1967 until 1969. In 1970 I was aboard the primary recovery ship (USS Iwo Jima) and picked up Apollo 13.
