OPERATIONS MANAGER SAARGUMMI MARCH 2018 TO OCTOBER 2018

Responsible for all Plant Production; Extrusion and Finishing Departments.

Led a team of two (2) Area Managers, five (5) Supervisors and eight (8) Team Leaders.

Responsible to ensure all Plant/Company KPI’s were met; Scrap, OEE, Absenteeism, Manning.

Ensure that all Customer (BMW, Freightliner, Mercedes, Tesla and VW) production requirements are met and are 100% on time.

Ensure that all departments are following all Safety Protocols and PPE requirements.

Developed Production Tracking Visual Charts to allow full transparency of production requirements with all Production Team Members in all work cells.

Implemented Fast Track Board to document and track all official Customer Complaints.

Reduced total backlog of parts to Tesla by 50%.

Increased overall efficiency in the VW work cells by 48%.

Implemented weekly Extrusion Start-Up Meeting to organize and standardize Monday morning cold start-ups; start-up time decreased from over two (2) hours to under one (1) hour.

oThis activity helped reduce time in problem solving by laying out a standard process for all to follow, but also made it more efficient to review other QE’s issues if they were out of the Plant.

Created & Implemented visual work instruction boards at the end of reach Extrusion Line; where Inspectors could see the critical areas of the part as it was moving towards them. Also, it showed the Inspectors where on the vehicle the part was installed and why it was critical to have defect free parts.

Managed the implementation of multi-lingual work instructions to aid with better understanding for all Employees.
