Landmark of Amarillo, Administrator March 2017 to present

Responsible for operations of this 99 bed facility. 89 dually certified beds and 10 skilled beds. We bought 25 beds to get us up to the 89 dually certified. I have done a complete make-over of the Administrative team. New DON, Admissions, Maintenance, wound nurse and MDS nurse. We have been working on just our 80 beds down stairs as our budget. We are currently running 75 with 6 skilled. I have 20 more beds we can use when we decide to open them up. Clinical outcomes are really enhancing our ability to get more skilled residents. Team is doing awesome work.

120 bed facility that was overseen by the State and the Veterans Administration. Consistently kept census over budget. Managed two survey processes each year. Hired all department directors and had an excellent team.

Texan Nursing and Rehab, Administrator, Amarillo, TX September 2011 to July 2012

Worked with marketing to build census and the building’s reputation in the community. Personally marketed to doctors and hospitals. Hired DON and ADON and built teamwork within departments.

July 2001 to September 2006

Appointed JCAHO Officer for both Bivins homes with census of 178 beds. Successfully achieved JHACO accreditation for Bivins Memorial and Elizabeth Jane Bivins home. Responsible for policy and procedure manuals. Trained staff to learn JCAHO protocols. Interfaced with design team for Childers Place facility. Served as Program Director of new projects. Assisted in the seamless transfer of resident from a closed facility to a new building. Created programs resulting in speedy acclimation of residents to a new environment.
