From the corporate office, work with customers to align their forecasting, planning and execution processes with Amkor’s, assisting them with supply chain improvements. Customers include Philips in Europe, Maxim, Analog and Korean customers. Manage a small team performing capacity planning and demand management for Amkor’s IC assembly and test operations in Taiwan and the newly acquired wafer bump facilities in Taiwan and North Carolina.

Within two years we reduced materials shortages by 80% while reducing days of inventory by 40%, and almost eliminated materials reserve charges. We obtained year over year materials costs reductions despite tightening supply and increased commodity materials prices. We achieved >99.99% inventory accuracy and we implemented ship-to-line programs which allowed us to support a threefold increase in volume while decreasing our storage space.

In order to launch products and position for major growth, sought out and found a global contract manufacturer with US operations, and then negotiated and signed a contract to pilot and produce products at a major electronic manufacturing services facility in Dallas. Leveraging their global spend, we were able to achieve about a 15% cost reduction immediately.
