Cycle Time Reduction sponsored by Atlas Copco India Limited.

To reduce the cycle time of assembling a water cooled air screw compressor. The project was to identify zones/processes which increase the assembly time using time and motion study. Avix software is used to identify value adding and non-value adding activities and apt solution of movable cluster trolley was found out to replace rigid rack system to reduce idle and wait time in assembly. The assembly time was reduced from 13.05 hours to 11.69 hours. Reduction in cycle time of 1.36 hours or 10.42%.

Seminar Description: Replacement of Spark Plug with laser ignition to increase the efficiency and performance of engine.
