Texas Star Furniture, Crowley, Texas: Jan. 2013 to Present

Custom furniture manufacturing. I design and build custom furniture for clients throughout the Dallas and Fort Worth area. I started this business after retirement by turning a hobby into a business.

Mustang Cat, Houston Texas: Nov. 2006 to March.2013

I used Auto Cad to design engine generator assemblies for domestic and international clients. Designs included skids for large engines and generators, piping for engine air to air heat exchanger cooling systems, sound atentuated enclosures, double wall fuel tanks, fire surpression systems, engine exhaust and piping, air compressors, air dryers, air receivers and piping, ladders, handrails and walkways. I also specified all steel, pipe and mechanical equipment. I interperted complex specifictions and negotiated with client and engineering firms on a daily basis depending on the project. I can do P&ID's and have designed a jacket water heater for use with a 690 volt electrical system. Prior to working at Mustang Cat, I designed large skids for pumps, hydraulic systems, offshore cranes and various structural and mechanical components for offshore jackup drilling rigs. I retired from Mustang Caterpillar in 2013.

RP Manufacturing, Conroe Texas: July 2003 to Nov. 2006

I designed hydraulic systems and control consoles for Makeup /Breakout machines for the down hole tool rental industry. I also solved design problems the company had with gears and bushings.

I designed steel structures, estimated time and material for steel fabrication projects. I also managed some of the larger projects.
