I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as several medical and background investigative software programs.
Work Experience
EASY BACKGROUNDS
JUNE 2018 – AUGUST 2018
I held the position of Client Advocate at easyBackgrounds in Newfields, NH. I was primarily responsible for developing and managing client relationships with easyBackgrounds which involved analyzing ordering patterns and volumes, working closely with clients to address their specific needs, and ensuring retention and growth of the business relationship. Another important part of the role involved overseeing successful fulfillment of client orders. I used software systems, including Excel, to extract and analyze revenue and reorder data in accordance with documented procedures and processes.
SEACOAST AREA PHYSIATRY
AUGUST 1999 – JUNE 2018
For 10 years prior to leaving this busy medical practice, I had been the primary medical biller. My duties included entering charges daily with 100% accuracy, reviewing the provider’s super bills and correcting when he/she has charged incorrectly. I posted all incoming payments from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys, as well as processed the electronic fund remits. I corrected and reprocessed all denied claims, having had a good working knowledge of the individual insurance companies’ specific requirements. I was responsible for depositing payments received. I was the sole in-house transcriptionist of the major reports dictated by our physicians (all else was done via electronic medical records). I was also the practice’s HIPAA officer, maintaining compliance with all pertinent policies and procedures.
Prior to becoming our practice’s medical biller, I was the office manager for one of our satellite offices, responsible for fielding phone calls, scheduling/registering/checking in and out patients.
