Responsibilities included taking patient histories, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies, contacting patients regarding laboratory and diagnostic results, post-op assessment, performing procedures, identifying and diagnosing pathophysiology of disease processes, creating and discussing treatment plans, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, presenting plan and assessment to preceptors. Worked closely with physicians, residents, fellows, PAs, NPs, nurses, social workers, medical students, and other PA students.

Procedural skills include first assist cesarean and vaginal deliveries, first/second assist in surgery, foley catheter insertion, closure of wounds and incisions via sutures and staples, tissue expansion (breast), endometrial biopsies, pap smear/chlamydia/gonorrhea/pop q assessment, wound vac application and changes, wound debridement, care and dressing changes, incision and drainage, local anesthetic injections.
