Direct strategic decisions, manage logistical details, assist with marketing efforts and provide administrative oversight for all in-person and online professional development events, including the planning, design, development, and implementation of various event activities
Serve as the principal representative of the Conferences and Continuing Education area of the National Resource Center for recognition/award programs
Supervise and assign work for all permanent and temporary Conferences and Continuing Education staff, including Conference Associate, Conference Assistant and Graduate Assistant(s), and. In collaboration with the Budget & Human Resources Manager, oversee the work of the Business Associate
Manage all event-based financial activities for the Conference and Continuing Education area of the National Resource Center.

Supervised the design, development, and implementation of content for event activities
Contributed to the writing of and share responsibility with Director for all promotional materials
Conducted site selections, contract negotiations and pre/post conference communication with host hotels
Oversaw preconference workshop and speaker selection for Center events
Developed budgets for Center sponsored conferences, workshops, seminars and institutes
Prepared the development and design of event marketing plans
Facilitated negotiations with airlines, audio-visual suppliers, caterers and transportation suppliers for events
Directed and administered the nomination, selection and recognition process for annual Outstanding First-Year Student award campaign
Assisted with content development for Center sponsored teleconferences
Collaborated with Graphic Artists in layout and design functions for marketing brochures, flyers and other printed materials
Partnered with the Assistant to the Conference Coordinator in developing logistical planning for Center events
Approved exhibit opportunities for organizations/companies at various conferences
Supervised conference proposal review process, maintenance of proposal files and databases, and the processing of travel and honorarium paperwork for all conference speakers and preconference workshop facilitators
Maintain history files for all past conferences, seminars, workshops and institutes
Coordinated the maintenance of inventory of all conference supplies and materials
Communicate orally, in writing and via email with conference presenters, speakers, preconference workshop facilitators,
and event participants
Troubleshoot on-site staffing /registration concerns, including determining appropriate responses to problems/emergencies
