Fuels Journeyman to Training Supervisor

United States Air Force, Barksdale AFB, Louisiana

I trained on different components of a fuel refueler, flightline layout, grounding and bonding to aircraft for refueling. Trained on refueler maintenance, conducted checkpoint daily to ensure all refueling equipment was mission ready to use at any given time, if any discrepanacies, we informed the team chief, and made on the spot repairs. Lab technician, established a sample correlation program with the Aerospace Fuels Laboratory to validate the integrity of the base-level analysis procedures. Operated and maintain laboratory testing equipment, complied with all (AFPET) Air Force Petroleum standards and safety, improved quality of the fuel and raised AF standards. Moving from lab technician to Bulk Storage supevisor, I received, stored, issued petroleum and cryogenics products. Processed computer transactions to ensure proper billing and payment for all product receipt and issued transactions. Performed daily inspections/operator maintenance of military service station/hydrant facilities. Conducted pipeline inspections and reading to ensure proper flow during receipt from outside refinery to base. Calibrated and adjust pumps, observe pumps and pressure guage readings for correct (psi) pounds per square inch and pipeline readings. After years of moving around in my career field, my last job before retiring was training supervisor in charge. My job consisted of training fuels personnel on job SAFETY first and foremost. Trained/Supervised 98 plus fuels personnel on HAZMAT, MSDS, and OSHA safety procedures of fueling equipment. Highly knowledgeable on microsoft word, excel, and powerpoint. Purchasing supervisor, purchased safety, hazardous, and mobility items with

(GPC) Government Purchasing Card program, stayed certified within the program. Highly trained in fuels accounting, keeping close contact with (DESC) Defense Energy Support Center and (DLA) Defense Logistics 2

Agency on any updates on policy and procedure. Facility manager, made sure the building was in safe order, routinely checked fire extinguisher for proper opeation and other discrpeancies brought to flight chiefs attention. Maintained a healthy and safe work environment for all 98 plus assigned personnel and the public. Developed a lists of materials, purchased parts, equipment, technical requirements and descriptions of the work to be accomplished. Expedited parts/tools that delayed and altered schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Gave advice, counsel, and instruction to manager on daily activity in the parts department. Operatios Manager, Pat Salmon and Sons Trucking

Shreveport, Louisiana

Maintained a group of 55 CDL drivers and tractor/trailer fleet in areas of Shreveport, Baton Rouge, Houston, and New Orleans. Performed daily inspections of the terminal for any unsafe discrepanices that may exist. Trained incoming drivers on pre and post inspection of driving equipment, making sure all equipment was DOT compliant and road ready. Routinely monitored with (HR) Human Resources and training to make sure all drivers were in DOT compliance, scheduling annual physicals and administer proper training, conductd monthly safety meetings to ensure all drivers were aware of any DOT regulation changes. Conducted nightly inspections to ensure the drivers met their contract obligation with United States Postal Service in delivering the mail on their route.

Reconciled end of month fuel reports, received fuel, processed fuel reports. Issued purchasing orders to any and all vendors for services rendored.

Issued ( P.O.) purchasing orders to vendors for work performed on tractor/trailer equipment and parts. Used Teletrac software to track and locate any and all drivers to make sure they were running contracts in a timely manner. Performed monthly safety meetings to ensure drivers were aware and up to date on DOT regulation changes. Trained drivers on electonic log usage, inspected drivers for pre and post inspection of trucks being used. Scheduled drivers for annual physicals, random drug testing, and traveled to locations and interacted with drivers to make they have what they needed to get job the done in a safe and effeicient manner with no delays.
