Replaced old 10 base-t hubs with then current 10/100 switches to increase speed and reliability of network infrastructure.
Upgraded old 56k frame relay with dedicated point to point T-1 connections for increased bandwidth and configured Adtran 750 channel bank units on the ends of the T-1 pipes to allow both Voice and Data to share the same available bandwidth connection.

I was also the primary co-ordination person for the 130 million dollar project upgrade at AFGWC referred to as phase-2 and as such directly responsible for the hardware and vendor selection process which was implemented over the next two years. This process involved many months of planning and meeting’s between officials and selected vendors in order to meet the government’s strict outline encompassing this large scale project and resulted in an overall doubling of processing power cutting weather pattern analysis times in half and quadrupling the amount of data storage.
