Construction Director (Middle East Operations):
Director of all construction operations for all Middle East projects especially the Al-Salam Palace Museum Project with a contract value of $250,000,000. Project’s scope of work included renovating and fitting out the Al-Salam Palace that was damaged during the Iraqi invasion and Gulf War. Detailed scope of work included converting structure into a multi purpose museum which included exalting the Palace experience, which depicted its glory years, the History of Kuwait; from the migration of the Utub through each of its thirteen rulers to date. Also, the Palace includes VIP areas, temporary expedition spaces, Banqueting areas, flexible spaces, shops, café, and government and royal offices. Responsibilities included supervising all operational and financial components of projects. Implementation of policies and procedures for client and contractor coordination. Assist Executive Vice President with all client and financial commitments to progress the completion of construction activities. Supervise all corporate and site staff members with their respective responsibilities. One of three chief delegates authorized to negotiate all aspects of partnership, financial interests, construction progress and time and cost differentials with the government of Kuwait, in addition to approve and liaise with consulting architect developing the museum’s content with the Royal Family of Kuwait.
