Abbey College in London
I enrolled in Abbey College in January 2015 following the completion of my studies at SOTA. There was the option of continuing at SOTA for 2 more years and taking the IB diploma programme, however I opted not to do so in order to take a quicker, more specialized and route to university. At Abbey College, I took an intensive, accelerated Medical Foundation Programme, majoring in Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics in view of specializing in a Science-based degree course in university. As a whole, I believe undertaking the what was the High School Equivalent of my education in London was incredibly enriching. Learning and interacting with my peers from all walks of life was an eye-opening experience, broadening my perspective and outlook by a simply unquantifiable amount. At the end of this thoroughly enriching time, I completed the MFP, graduating with an overall score of 71% (B) with a distinction in Biology (85%), attaining my pre-University qualifications (NQF Level 3). I also successfully attained a place in Masaryk University's Faculty of Medicine, passing their entrance examinations with flying colours, being given the option to major in either Medicine or Dentistry, an offer which I turned down in view of taking a gap year to figure out exactly what I wanted to major in. As I was working a young startup travel tech company, I was immediately delegated duties which were a lot further up the production line than I'd originally expected. These included attending events and forums at which I had to pitch ideas to hotel executives and managers. My duties also included the production of marketing content such as articles, posters and email templates. All in all, this was an extremely enriching experience for me, being able to meet all these people and produce content that played an important role in attracting traffic. Singapore

DiscoverSG
I wrote several articles for the site, mainly about lifestyle, leisure and even food. I believe it has expanded the scope of topics I can write about and at the same time made my style of writing far more versatile. In addition, I experienced the more hands-on aspects of writing as a profession, such as personally meeting with cafe managers and trying their food, and subsequently having to pass judgement on them impartially in articles. Goal.com (Singapore Edition)
My time at Goal.com was my first experience working with established writers and journalists. It was the first time I gained insight into and experienced first-hand the demands and rigors of professional sports writing. In June 2013, I obtained a short term intership during my summer break. I was tasked with covering the 25th Lion City Cup, an annual youth football competition which has drawn the youth academy teams of top European and South American sides such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Corinthians, and many others. I was tasked with watching and covering several of the fixtures involving Arsenal as well as Corinthians. I was in charge of attending, analyizing and writing reports of the matches by the stipulated deadlines. In addition, I was also given the opportunity to attend pre and post-match press conferences by the coaches and relevant representatives of the clubs.
I was also given the chance to cover S-League matches. This involved having to compile detailed match reports and interview the relevant spokespeople of the clubs involved. Singapore
