Job Title: Fire & Safety Officer

Organization: dealing with various construction and building construction projects and other Engineering projects.

Assignments / Responsibilities

Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment.

Prepare Confined Space Entry procedures, Night work plan, Emergency Evacuation procedures.

Ensure that Clients and Company’s Permit to Work System is fully complied.

Conduct safety induction for civilian employees, sub-contractor laborers.

Attain weekly progress meeting to discuss the safety issues of the site.

Prepare and review near miss reports, accident/incident reports, investigate and recommend corrective actions.

Prepare and conduct safety presentation for in house safety trainings as per project requirements for civilian employees, sub-contractor laborers.

Prepare mock drill schedule and ensure drills are conducted including de briefings to familiarize workforce with the situations.

Carry out safety inspections of plant and machinery, lifting tools & tackles, ladders and fire fighting equipments.

Monitor inspections for electrical hand tools.

Conduct site inspection along with Client representative for continual improvement in HSE practices on project.

Supervise the construction activities to provide instructions and review procedures to ensure safe operations and best industry practices are followed in the project.

Guide project team to achieve required safety standards and to maintain safe working practices.

Ensure Good Safety Practice is managed & maintained.

Prepare inspection and maintenance schedules of fire fighting and safety equipments to ensure the equipment’s have valid third-party certifications and are in ready to use conditions.

Supervise Lifting activity and Compile & carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary.

Inspect PPE resource for the project.

Preparation and maintenance of safety & fire equipment for the Fire Training Ground.

Arrange the drills and prepare reports after the drills to review the findings.

Monthly inspection of fire extinguisher.

Mobilizatin of manpower, tools&tackles, transportation, equipment mobilization.
