BI Architect/SQL Server Developer Independent Direct Consultant Jan 2012-Sep 2018

Lead architect responsible for complex data models sourced from all aspects of SAP. Involved in full life cycle delivery to the business. Responsible for designing a new Star Schema data warehouse to replace current static reporting table methods. Consisting of 50+ dimensions and 6 fact tables. Designed and developed SQL integration processes in Salesforce.com with critical SAP information. Used SQL server to provide complex adhoc data extracts for upper management to identify potential revenue leaks. Supported and enhanced an analytics application. Redesigned and led the development of the data loading process of that application to increase the availability to be 2 hours earlier. Designed and created an SSAS Pricing cube to allow price analyst to identify potential price increases. Provided support to the pricing analyst to ensure price increases were implemented correctly. Designed and led effort to give business paper machine metrics. This consisted of identifying which machine produced what percent of an invoice and proportioning the invoice by machine. Designed and developed integration to Demand Forecast application within Salesforce.com. Users maintained high level forecast within Salesforce.com. The integration would provide a much lower level based on historical records and assign them with correct percentage of forecast based on sales. Functioned as a SAP data expert to colleagues and to the business.

Migrated data from legacy systems into SAP. Led calls with business to gather requirements and provide guidance on how to prepare the data to be loaded successfully into SAP. Designed and developed a master data cleansing tool. Tool would identify inconsistencies with master data and allow for effortless corrections. Designed and developed invoice condition data mart multiple to allow users to identify gaps in conditions applied to invoices.

Redesigned and developed a new Point of Sale collection system within SQL server. Liaison to offshore effort to replace existing ETL tool with SSIS. Designed database schema to be used within SSIS to collect and store ETL metrics within a Star Schema reporting structure. Also functioned as an operational DBA. Responsible for backup recovery and server availability.
