Recommended bidders lists, refined statements of work to ensure technical accuracy, delivery schedules, material requisitions, and created technical proposal evaluation criteria and reports to justify MOX procurement actions.

WAUPACA FOUNDRY, INC Etowah, TN Jan 2008 – Jul 2008

Project Manager

Manage engineering of $162M expansion to add a new ductile iron production line to the existing facility. The automated line, including up to 50 robots for material handling, was to be operational by 2009, increasing the facility’s size from 272,000 sq ft to 472,000 sq ft. The project was terminated in mid 2008 and the foundry was idled in 2010 due to a significant downturn in business.

Redesigned the system that allowed parts to move thru the continuous cleaning machine (initiated an adjustment to the blast wheels and redesigned the curtain to keep the blast inside the machine) which reduced downtime related to this machine from 6 hours per day to 1 hours per week

Served as Millwright Instructor for Flour-Daniels on special assignment. Built four machines for Savannah-based giftware manufacturer, eliminating their reliance on subcontractors. Significant experience in weld design, applications, and inspection.
