Human Resources Manager

Helped with the growth of new stores as Hobby Lobby expanded its footprint in the California and Arizona Region. I supervised the recruitment, hiring, and training of new stores while overseeing the training and development of our new teams.

General Manager

Managed a high-performance team of 40 Associates and Assistant Managers to achieve $10M in sales. Ranked in Top 3% of the company based on annual sales volume. Focused the team on building product knowledge of 6,000 skus in a 25,000 sq. ft. store (500,000 skus on website). Chosen to turnaround underperforming stores. In Oceanside (the negative district leader in service metrics) through training, mentoring and adherence to corporate policies, effectively managed operations to become a high comp store, reduced shrink by half, reduced employee turnover, and achieved high rates for promoting new Associates to Managers. Earlier positions in turnaround assignments with Mira Mesa and Solana Beach stores also improved store revenues and levels of customer service.
