PROFILE

An HR Generalist and Compensation Analyst with experience providing analytical, technical, and day-to-day administrative support to the human resources function including competitive salary analysis, incentive plan development and administration, cost modeling and compensation plan analysis, ad hoc reporting, and HR system implementation and administration. The last 12-years have focused on providing day-to-day administrative support; prior experience was more project/consultant driven.

Work Experience

Administer and analyze base salary, short-term incentive programs, and salary structures for US and International employees

Provide cost modeling for compensation program concepts and changes

Provide analytical and administrative support throughout the annual compensation cycle including merit planning, bonus calculations, compensation benchmarking, and compensation statement generation

Regularly perform job analysis, including evaluation, internal comparison and external survey.

Designed and delivered compensation system from scratch for an employee base of 4000. Acted as liaison between senior management, Organizational Development, Benefits and Payroll.

Managed excel spreadsheets and internet-based tools designed for common merit reviews for both salary and stock planning purposes for a client base from 200 to 10,000 employees.

Maintain job and compensation structures within the company’s HR Management System

Generate and analyze ad hoc reports from a variety of information systems

Provide support in the implementation and ongoing administration of HR system(s)

Provide analytical and administrative support for projects

Manage projects such as survey participation and analysis, compensation integration for mergers and acquisitions

Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and work with HR Managers to educate Managers

Work with HRIS and IT staff to ensure that the system meets compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary structures, bonus programs, etc.

Communicate salary and bonus programs in New Hire Orientation

Assist HR Managers and Managers with compensation related issues

Experience supporting RIFs, and, Mergers and Acquisitions

Systems Experience and Core Qualifications

Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Publisher, and Project Manager

ADP, SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Paychek and Ceridian

Experience with MS Access and other relational databases

Hands on experience with Oracle and SAP and Exactly Incent

CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS and RECENT PROJECT WORK

Developed a Professional Career Ladder Programs at several organizations from hi-tech to health care. From concept and design to implementation.

Coordinated the design and development of an International Salary Program for a prominent semi-conductor company in Silicon Valley. Delivering a common-salary structure and development of global leveling criteria and career ladder progression within all job families. Resulting in changes not only for international locations but corporate headquarters as well.

Developed It’s a People Development Tool, Not Just a Score Card a Performance Management Training Program including process, evaluation forms and training materials. Implemented at several companies across several industry segments.

Developed and implemented a bonus program to leverage a planned suppression in base salary increases. Net savings of $2 MM or 10% of “fixed” salary expense.

Directed M&A activities in the integration of compensation and benefit programs. Including base, incentive, equity, PTO and welfare benefit programs. Projects have included an audit of international and domestic compensation and benefit programs.

Consolidated 20+ sales compensation plans from 8 separate Strategic Business Units into 3 plan designs for the entire organization. Worked directly with SBU Executives to facilitate the outcome.

Directed an Operations Improvement Program reversing a significant operating loss. Savings realized within 6 months of starting project. Reducing operating expenses by nearly 15%. Accomplished the turnaround without layoffs by managing staff reductions through attrition and cross training programs by working directly with Cross Functional Teams, Board, Executives, Management and Staff.

Coordinated the implementation of Terralign, a Sales Software Territory Management Program, which included integration with Oracle’s Order Management module and salesforce.com

Developed a performance-based RSA Program. From idea inception, design, and, BOD program approval through stock award distribution. A legacy program for HR at a premier Silicon Valley hi-tech company.

Designed and implemented a Total Rewards Program including Quarterly Total Rewards Employee Statements that included Base Pay, Annualized Target & Actual Bonus Award, 401(k) Employer Contribution, PTO “bank” Adjusted Value, Health and Welfare Benefit Value and Anticipated Value of Stock Award.
