PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Wilspec Technologies, Inc., August 2015 – July 2018, Engineering Manager, Product Design Engineer

Manage engineering team with the initiative to develop new/custom product solutions for HVAC pressure, electrical, and flow control devices, and provide support for sustaining products. Solutions require communication with customers and overseas manufacturing personnel to ensure design, performance, and delivery requirements are met.

Assist customers directly with engineering application support, ensuring component specifications will provide optimal system performance (pressure set point tolerances, refrigerant mass flow rate, electrical loads, etc).

Ensure all product designs meet global standards (UL, CE, TUV, ENEC) via rigorous testing through both internal laboratory and independent certification agencies.

Provide engineering resources to support marketing directives with product specifications, render images, cross section views, and agency certification information.

CDR Global, Inc., March 2013 – August 2015, ITAM Sales

Develop enterprise accounts and strategic partnerships to provide IT Asset Management solutions for end of life technology equipment. Solutions provide a remarketing channel for excess and B channel IT equipment while integrating the core services of data security, inventory auditing, regulatory compliance and logistics.

Benchmarked process control initiatives to improve secure handling of customer hard drives and other data bearing storage devices. Initiatives released to production through corrective and preventative action reports, and maintain compliance with Responsible Recycling “R2:2013” and ISO 14001:2004 standards.

Designed interior office and production floor plan for CDR Global’s new 40K sq.ft. facility. Drawings utilized to cultivate construction estimates, city building permits, production line layouts and emergency evacuation procedures. Blastrac, NA, August 2011 – September 2012, Mechanical Engineer

Redesigned legacy belt drive 1 16DB4 ride on shot blasting machine to a complete hydraulic system. Design changes eliminated belt/pulley system, reduce fabrication time by 50% and improve operator controls and safety.

Designed cooling package for 2 4800 ride on shot blasting machine to meet new EPA requirements for Tier 3, John Deere 350 HP diesel engine. Updated Tier 3 requirements commanded new designs for charge air cooling pipes, radiator hoses, engine mount brackets, suction fan spacer, exhaust piping and cowl silencer.

Provide engineering support for all shot blast machines currently in production. Changes include feature enhancements, BOM modifications, manufacturing routing improvements and process control improvements. Andrew Hubbard

International Environmental Corporation, September 2009 – August 2011, Product Engineer

Lead engineer for Horizontal and Vertical Belt Drive Series redesign. Revised features reduce assembly time, improve airflow through fan coils, eliminate mold from the airstream and offer a more robust filter rack than legacy design.

Mechanical representative on IBC/OSHPD Seismic Certification Team. Project commanded design and implementation of new bracing and latch mechanisms to ensure compliance in the occurrence of a seismic event.

Redesigned fan coil heating circuits to reduce hydronic pressure drop across coil. Coils with low pressure drop are in growing demand because smaller, cost effective pumps may be utilized without reduction in system capacity. Panelite, Inc., February 2008 – September 2009, Design Engineer II

Responsible for new product designs for Freightliner, Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo and International OEM applications. Designs fabricated from 304 SS and include exterior sun visors, cab/sleeper panels, tool & battery box covers, etc.

Generate G Code programs for products created on Mazak and Finn Power production machines. Programs are utilized to manufacture standard products and routinely modified for custom applications.

Provide design support for new and existing production tools and manufacturing processes, utilizing Lean Manufacturing techniques to maximize efficiency and reduce waste. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

Mechanical Engineer – Oseco, Inc. (2005 – 2006)

Provide innovative pressure relief solutions for OEM customer applications. Designs must meet pressure, thermal, and corrosion resistance requirements of the ASME National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.

Successfully managed $300K+ project for US Corps of Engineers. Duties entailed coordinating all engineering, manufacturing, outsourcing and procurement activities to escalate project to completion before deadline.

Failure analysis of rupture disks from Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests. Analysis involves microscopic metallurgical examination, process media compatibility, thermal effects and review of manufacturing data. Thermal Engineer – Marconi Communications (2000 2002), Dell Computer (2006, Contract)

Provide Flotherm (CFD) thermal analysis and empirical testing of electronics equipment enclosures to ensure proper cooling capabilities while maintaining industry specifications.

Conduct system impedance tests of various electronics chassis using Airflow Measurement Systems 5000 CFM wind tunnel. Impedance values used to generate library parts in Flotherm to streamline future thermal analyses.

Thermal representative for Competitive Teardown Team. Objective includes evaluating competitor systems across Thermal, Acoustic, Reliability and Mechanical teams to determine how competitor systems in the market compare. Manufacturing Engineer – ICON Health & Fitness (2002 2004)
