PDO (Petroleum Development of Oman) – Shell

Oman

Project: (Y3DC) Yibal Depletion Compression - Phase 3 Project. Precommissioning, Commissioning and Start up of a Gas Compression Plant - 3 centrifugal compressors (GE Oil&Gas) with Vorecon Speed Gear (Voith) driven by electrical motors 17.5 MW each (G.E.) and auxiliary facilities. With Honeywell DCS (FCS & IPS), fieldbus instrument, Bentley Nevada sensor, F&G detectors, level and pressure smart transmitters. Support FPD department like Q Captain in order to check, follow and close all C&A open actions, as well as, supporting in spare parts organization and inspections.

Project: (GHN) Ghaba North Re-Development Project. Precommissioning, Commissioning and Start up of 3 Gas Lift / Injection Reciprocating Compressors (Dresser-Rand) 1250kW each, Gas-Liquid Ring Recovery Compressor (GARO), Surge tanks, 3 shipping pumps (300 kW – 229 m3/hr), Gathering Stations and oil wells (>40.000ppm H2S). With Yokogawa DCS (FCS & IPS), fieldbus instrument, Bentley Nevada sensor, F&G detectors, level and pressure smart transmitters.

Responsibilities:

• Support the establishment of strategies, plans and targets for commissioning, ensuring that key project objectives are met.

• Contribute to the development of an overall CSU logic and schedule, developing progress monitoring tools and providing timely information of progress to CSU Lead.

• Develop Instrument Commissioning staff Mobilization Plan and staff model.

• Prepare I&C equipment/system commissioning/energization and testing procedures in accordance with project specifications.

• Verify and validate the Contractor’s compliance with its scope of work in support of C&A CSU activities

• Support the development of the Commissioning & Completions Management System (CCMS) and business controls as required ensuring overall project objectives are met.

• Ensure the alignment of C&A pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in accordance with the Project Handover Procedure for seamless transition and handover.

• Provide technical support in the resolution of issues during CSU phase.
