PLANT OPERATION AND PERFORMANCE

Total Experience-12 years

Presently associated with Essar Power MP Ltd., MP as Unit Controller in 1200 MW (2*600MW) PF fired power plant and designation is Manager.

Previously worked in Vedanta Aluminium Ltd at Jharsuguda and Lanjigarh in Operation as Shift incharge and Desk Engineer of 9*135MW CPP (PF fired) and 3*30 MW Co Generation Plant (PF Fired) respectively.

Organizational Experience

From year 2011 to Present:

Present responsibility is Unit Controller and reporting to Deputy GM and GM. The responsibility includes:

Unit Controlling of BTG from control room (Start up, Rolling, Loading, Shut down, Emergency Handling etc of 600 MW) including field activity monitoring.

Maintain the parameters within safe limits and optimise Auxiliary consumption upto design value.

Modification in various places for optimising process and saving cost of production.

Monitoring of daily operation and analysing the operation records of critical process parameters.

Regular monitoring of the plant heat rate and assessing the condition of unit and assessing the scope of improvement.

To ensure COC, Water chemistry, safety protections including fire, height and confined space checking.

To ensure proper recording of all operation related activities including DGR, Check List, Shift Routines, and PTW etc.

To ensure all defects are registered properly through SAP & liquidated on time.

Co-ordination with BOP (Fuel handling, Cooling Water Pump and Auxiliary boiler) area.

Grid Schedule maintaining and ensuring unit is on RGMO.

Coaching and maintaining safe environment in workplace.

From year 2007 to 2011:

In previous organisation, performed all Boiler, Turbine and Electrical system related desk operations in very smooth and safe way as shift in charge as well as desk operator:

Academic Qualifications

PGDC (Thermal Power Plant Engg) from of NATIONAL POWER TRANING INSTITUTE (E.R), Durgapur, passed in 2007, scored70%.

B.Tech (Electrical Engg) from West Bengal University of Technology, passed in 2006, scored 78%.

Training

1. Participated in 500 MW Simulator Training Course conducted by National Power Training Institute for 1 month in Feb 2007

2. Undergone two week project based training under C.E.T.E on micro controller in July 2005.

Conversant with Windows 8/7/Vista/XP, MS Office Applications (Word / Excel / PowerPoint) and E-Mail (Outlook 2013/2011/2010).
