PROJECTS

PROJECT: Worked on the project “Curing cycle effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of polymer composite materials”.

COLLEGE: Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College Bidar,Karnataka.

ROLE: My Role was to prepare laminates and place them under temperature oven for curing.

ABSTRACT: The effect of curing cycle temperature on Mechanical properties has proved to give effective results. Nine Laminates were prepared according to mixture calculations and oriented in Bi-directional manner and placed in temperature oven for curing. Every laminate was placed at different temperature and for different span of time i.e for 1hr,2hrs and 3 hrs at 120,140 & 160 degree Celsius each. Three laminates were prepared for every set temperature and placed for 1,2 and 3hrs. Laminates were removed and tested on UTM machine for their Flexural and Tensile strength at Mechanical R&D center Guru Nanak Dev engineering College Bidar. At the end their strengths were calculated and found that best

time and temperature in order for the laminate to yield maximum tensile strength was at 120 deg for 2 hours and for maximum flexural strength it was at 140 deg for 3 hours.

PROJECT: Worked on mini project based on “To eliminate the concern of gap between D-Post and Rear floor in camper and camper gold vehicles” at MAHINDRA & MAHINDRA LTD. ZAHEERABAD during internship training.
