Work History
Display Build Lead 1/2016 to 12/2017
Eversource – Boston, MA
Lead the display development and build of one major and three minor SCADA installations at Eversource (Boston, MA) for electric control centers in Boston, Salem, Plymouth and West Springfield, MA locations.
Directed and coordinated the display building of over 5,000 displays by 20 display builders. Conversions included GE GEN4, (2) GE Power Link and Siemens (Telegyr) to the GE Alstom SCADA system.
Lead Analyst 10/2013 to 12/2015
Rochester Gas & Electric. IBERDROLA – Rochester, NY
Assisted in the design and development of two major SCADA installations at RG&E and NYSEG (Vestal, NY) from to the Siemens SCADA platform.
Coordinated the Point-to-Point testing from the Master to the RTUs for both projects supervising up to a dozen co-workers and TRC contract Engineers.
Re-designed the Electric Control Center at RG&E design for the primary Operator Consoles to incorporate the transition of one control platform to another.
Senior Consultant 10/2010 to 05/2013
UTILICASE Solutions Inc. – Montreal, Quebec, Canada
The United Illuminating Company, Orange – CT 10/2011 to 6/2013
Project Engineer: Designed database and displays for UI's new ABB Ventyx SCADA installation. This effort included initial data conversion from UI's existing efacec ACS SCADA system, developing standard database naming conventions for apparatus and multiple T&D relays, alarm management, change management, ICCP, and creating new attributes for the more advanced system.
Assisted UI's NERC Coordinator and developed a plan and documentation for the Electric Control System's CIP 7 which resulted in a successful NERC CIP audit.
Initiated a new SCADA alarm management philosophy which utilizes alarm priorities to define specific call-out directives for the Electric System operators. Leaders from every effected department now participate in this on going process.
Great Lakes Power Transmission – Northern Ontario 7/2011 to 8/2011
Scored and contributed to the selection process for GLPT's new SCADA.
Assisted with GLPT's OSIsoft PI historian vendor selection.
Northeast Utilities – Hartford, CT 10/2010 to 6/2011
Assisted with the testing and installation of CONVEX's new Alstom SCADA System. Also, assisted with the Connecticut Light & Power, and Yankee Gas Telegyr SCADAs.
Administered CONVEX's New England's Transmission Outage Administration program acquiring regional user's change requests, defining these for the Vendor, and testing prior to implementation. Also, provided user administration.
Electrical Designer 06/2000 to 06/2010
Brookfield Renewable Power – Liverpool, NY
ABB Network Manager System (2008-2009)
Member of Brookfield's International System Control Center Standardization Team, attended several standardization workouts in Montreal, QC, Gatineau, QC and Marlborough, MA.
Successfully developed a standard “class” assignment for alarm management which the "Team" adopted attended hands-on seminar for working with ABB Network Manager Database and drawing development tools.
Developed database conversion, naming conventions, PI tags and alarm management for all Brookfield – NY database points for implementation into ABB Network Manager.
